The Programs
BIBR | LEAD | HAVENS OF HOPE
BIBR - Brothers in Blue Reentry
BIBR is our original program, the men's program, which began under the BIBR heading in
2011 and now serves hundreds of men each year both inside and outside the prison.
The vision for the men's program is to serve incarcerated men in all Kansas Department of
Corrections facilities with our life-changing, evidence-based curriculum and counseling.
LEAD - Ladies Empowered and Driven
The LEAD program is the sister program to BIBR and operates in the Topeka
Correctional Facility, the only state prison for women in the State of Kansas.
The LEAD program launched early in 2020 and gives women equal opportunity for
change as the men9s BIB program. The curriculum has been modified to best meet
the unique needs of incarcerated women.
LEAD is currently serving its eighth group of women, which includes groups in
both the central and maximum facilities at TCF.
Havens of Hope
Havens of Hope is a brand new BIBR initiative that focuses of providing safe and
stable housing options to members upon release from incarceration.
Havens of Hope currently is working with like-minded property owners in the
cities of Leavenworth and Topeka to provide beds for both men and women, with a
strong focus on providing the accountability, structure, and resources those
members will need upon release.
Havens of Hope is meant to be a stepping stone to better things for each member
that passes through it9s doors. Each reentry is unique, however, and each member
will have the opportunity to develop a well thought out plan that will center on
their best path to a successful reentry.
